Early 1900s wooden carousel figure by Josef Hubner (Neustadt, Germany). The prancing horse carries its delicately featured glass-eyed head on an arched neck having a tossing mane. Elaborate trappings embrace the body which carries a plain scroll cantle saddle resting on the "W" fashioned blanket characteristic of the Hubner style. Metal lion medallion on breast, fine detailed carving under layers of park paint, natural horsehair tail. 52 long x 49 high, display stand included.
