1257-1 - Lengle - $4200 - $3,800 - (Time payments available)
Turn of the century all wood horse from the carousel works of Eugen Lengle in Bruschal, Germany. Hallmarks of its creator include stallion gender, an alert head with large glass eyes carried on an upright neck with a flowing mane of five skeins with interstices and a muscular body with fine legs reflecting the dressage horse breed. The prancer appears in park paint carrying a saddle featuring bird heads carved in high relief at the cantle and girthed over a bordered blanket, further harnessed of scalloped shoulder straps having inset mirrors, breastband and breeching with threaded disks, and loin straps with mirror insets. The head is restrained by a buckled headstall. Good condition showing age and use, without missing parts, natural horsehair tail. Possibly once aboard the Lengle carousel at Carowinds, NC. 45 long x 50 high. Display stand included.
