1534-2 - PTC - $13,750 - -
Circa 1928 Philadelphia Toboggan Company. Retired from its working life at the Casino Carousel at Asbury Park this outside row stander flaunts lavish trappings - the saddle depends a flowing fringed scarf and is borne over a square blanket having carved roundels enclosed within a double border. A second blanket with carved motifs bordered with square lappets protects the hindquarters; the breast is circumscribed by a deep bordered breastband having carved motifs, the lower edge punctuated with demi-roundels; the head is restrained by a jeweled bridle. The pretty glass eyed head is carried on an erect neck crested with a deeply carved forward sweeping mane. In the historic old park paint it wore on its last working day. Sold with stand shown. 63 long x 62 high.
