Classic Charles Looff turn-of-the-century all wood carousel horse. The stander featuring a head with gentle expression is furnished with a deeply carved cascading mane. Signature trappings include a saddle having a scrolled cantle resting on a carved "plaid" blanket. Shoulder straps, breastband, breeching, loin straps and bridle sport tassels and crystal jeweled keepers with leaves. Glass eyes, natural horsehair tail, displayed on a custom rocking horse base with brass. Older restoration in very good condition. 50 long x 52 high not including base.
