1920s carousel horse from the Stein & Goldstein carousel works. The jaunty jumper carries its glass eyed head on an erect neck having a forward swept flowing mane. The saddle, issuing two lobed pendants which display carved leaves and blossoms, rests on a square blanket and the chest is embraced by a breastband with curved lappets and a characteristic S&G plastron. Professionally restored in artist oils and shining gold metal leaf. Natural horsehair tail. 46 long x 41 high.
