Late 1920s Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel horse deaccessioned from the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art. The all wood figure is a lively jumper, the glass-eyed head raised to level on an upright neck furnished with a windblown mane. Art Deco style trappings feature an unusual saddle having three flaps resting on a blanket of three curved lobes secured by interlaced breast and shoulder straps while complementary breeching harnesses the hindquarters. 48 inches long x 48 inches high, very condition.
