Circa 1910 from the Charles Carmel carousel works. The outside row stander
carries its head on an upraised neck furnished with a generous fore swept
mane carved in high relief. Note the long divided forelock defining the
glass eye. Lavish trappings include a saddle with notched skirt resting
on fancy double blankets and issuing a foliate motif and a chain of disks
from the cantle. The breast is encircled by a multi-layered fringed, lappeted
and scalloped peytral while scalloped breeching encloses the hindquarters.
In excellent solid condition the horse presents stripped, showing remnants
of original paint. Wood restoration accomplished, ready to fine tune,
prime and paint. 61 long x 60 high. 48 chest to rump.
